TurboAnimator is a browser extension that helps users create, apply, and manage animations in Google Slides. This Privacy Policy explains what information TurboAnimator processes, how it is used, where it is stored, and when it is transmitted to external services.

1. Information TurboAnimator Processes

TurboAnimator processes information necessary to provide its features.

Extension Settings and Animation Presets

TurboAnimator stores extension settings and animation preset configurations that you create or modify. These may include animation type, duration, start condition, paragraph settings, grouping settings, preset names, and other configuration information.

Animation Checking

TurboAnimator's animation checking feature analyzes animations in the user's presentation to identify configurations that do not conform to the user's selected animation presets.

Checking results, including the associated presentation and slide identifiers, are stored locally in the user's browser and used to display the checking report.

AI Suggestion

When you explicitly use the AI Suggestion feature, TurboAnimator processes information needed to generate and revise animation suggestions. This may include:

  • The visible Google Slides editor screenshot
  • Your configured animation presets
  • Custom instructions
  • Feedback provided when revising an AI-generated animation plan

When AI Suggestion is used, TurboAnimator captures the currently visible browser viewport containing the Google Slides editor. The screenshot may include the slide canvas, visible slide text and objects, and other Google Slides interface elements visible within the viewport.

Screenshots are used only as part of the AI request and are not retained by TurboAnimator after the request is processed.

AI Suggestion conversations, including user-provided instructions, revision feedback, and generated animation suggestions, are stored locally in the user's browser so that the conversation and suggestion history can be displayed within the extension.

2. How Information Is Processed

TurboAnimator processes its features locally in the user's browser.

To use AI Suggestion, users configure an LLM endpoint, API key, and model settings in TurboAnimator's Options. These settings are stored locally in the user's browser.

When the user initiates an AI Suggestion request, information required to generate the suggestion is sent directly from the user's browser to the LLM endpoint configured by the user. This may include screenshots, animation presets, custom instructions, and revision feedback.

TurboAnimator does not sell user data or use user data for advertising.

3. AI Processing and External Services

TurboAnimator does not provide an LLM service for AI Suggestion. Users instead provide their preferred LLM endpoint and API credentials through the extension's Options.

AI requests are sent directly from the TurboAnimator browser extension to the LLM endpoint configured by the user. The handling, storage, and retention of information transmitted to that endpoint are governed by the policies and service configuration of the selected LLM provider.

TurboAnimator does not receive or store the user's LLM API key outside the user's browser.

Because AI requests are made directly from the user's browser, the configured API key is used within the user's browser environment. Users should only configure API credentials that they are comfortable using in a client-side application and should review the security and data-handling practices of their chosen LLM provider.

4. Data Storage and Retention

TurboAnimator stores the following information locally in the user's browser:

  • Extension settings and animation presets
  • Animation-checking results
  • LLM endpoint, API key, and model settings
  • AI Suggestion conversation history, including custom instructions, revision feedback, and generated animation suggestions

AI Suggestion conversation history is stored locally in the user's browser. Screenshots captured for an AI Suggestion request are used only for that request and are not retained after the request is processed. TurboAnimator does not transmit or store this information elsewhere.

Information transmitted to the configured LLM endpoint, including screenshots, is subject to that provider's own data-handling and retention practices.

5. User Choice and Controls

AI Suggestion is an optional feature and is only used when the user explicitly requests an AI-generated suggestion.

Users choose whether to use AI Suggestion and which LLM endpoint and model to configure. Users can change or clear their locally stored LLM settings through TurboAnimator's Options.

Users can also clear locally stored TurboAnimator data through their browser's extension settings or by removing the extension.

6. Security

TurboAnimator uses reasonable technical measures to protect information transmitted to and stored by its services. However, no method of electronic transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Children's Privacy

TurboAnimator is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to TurboAnimator's functionality, services, or data practices. The updated version will be published at the same location as this policy.
